Standards for Good News Club® Teachers

Child Evangelism Fellowship®
Good News Club Teacher will…
ü
believe and annually sign the “Statement of Faith” for
CEF® without reservation.
ü
be screened for the Child Protection Policy through the
Washington State Patroland
through CEF’s background screening, reviewing
all Child Protection Policies.
ü
complete a Confidential Screening Form and an interview
with the CEF Director
ü
teach under the auspices of CEF supervision.
ü
have the assurance of Salvation upon the authority of the
Word of God.
ü
qualify as a spiritual Christian, including an exemplary
prayer life and
manifesting a Christ-controlled and disciplined life,
both in word and deed.
ü
have a burden and vision to reach lost boys and girls in
your neighborhood.
ü
be apt to teach, a student of the Word, a wise
disciplinarian, consistently
presenting the Gospel into each Bible
lesson, conscientiously giving the
invitation and leading boys and girls
to Christ.
ü
be willing to teach CEF literature in the Good News Club.
ü
be trained with CEF methods and regularly attend local
CEF teacher training sessions.
ü
teach only with approval of the local or State Director
or CEF Committee.
ü
attend and support as many CEF functions as possible,
(conferences, rallies,
banquets, and other special functions).
ü
teach the importance of missions and encourage boys and
girls to pray for
and give to CEF missionaries. (Note: After school Good
News Clubs that meet
in public schools should not solicit funds.)
ü
endeavor to channel unchurched children into a
Bible believing church.
ü
faithfully pray for each child who attends club, seek
others to be a prayer
support by sharing praises and prayer requests
preferably on a weekly basis.
